Valentine Barbie has become an annual collectible item for Valentine’s Day. In 1983, the first official Valentine Barbie was created by Mattel and the name of the doll was Loving You Barbie. This pretty doll came with a long skirt over a red velvet top with puffy sleeves and red hearts.
The Pretty Hearts Barbie was introduced in 1991. She wore a shorter skirt than the Loving You Barbie, but was similar in every other way. The Pretty Hearts Barbie doll was actually the first of the annual Valentine’s Barbie doll collection.
