Lambeth (Walk) in England is the name of the town to which the Doulton & Watts company (later known as Doulton & Company, and eventually renamed Royal Doulton) relocated in the early 1800s. The company was producing a larger inventory than it had been making in London, and simply needed a larger factory. Thus the term Royal Doulton Lambeth!
The Lambeth Pottery label appeared on Doulton & Watts items as well as the Doulton & Company and Royal Doulton labels. Many beautiful china and stoneware patterns and fine decorative collectibles fall under the Royal Doulton Lambeth label.
