It is thought that Murano glass beads were once used as Venetian currency. The Murano Glass beads look like little, tiny glass mosaics. Long canes made up of different rods are fused together and then cut into small beads. Millefiori (thousand flowers) is the term which refers to the multicolored glass beads which are made up of the thin rods.
Jewelled Murano Glass beads are perfect when made into jewelry pieces, or they are perfect simply show-cased alone.
