Many collectors of fine decorative Christmas ornaments enjoy Lladró porcelain ornaments. This is because they are exquisite additions for the tree or for placing around the house.
Perhaps the reason Lladró ornaments are so sought-after is because each Lladró ornament goes through many steps before it is finalized. Each porcelain artist who designs a Lladró ornament must get approval of his/her idea sketch before actually making a clay figurine, which is then worked on. Once the clay figurine is approved, the molds for the Lladró ornaments are made. Some of the Lladró figurines/statues require several molds which are pieced together because the pieces are so elaborate!
