As a child, René Lalique spent many summer vacations in a small French village. It is thought that these visits helped foster his love of nature.
When he became a top world-class glass maker, his love of nature was influenced by nature’s graceful lines. Lalique began his Lalique Perfume Bottle line by designing a perfume bottle for top French perfume maker François Coty.
That Lalique Perfume Bottle was the beginning of a long history of beautiful Lalique Perfume Bottles. Lalique is the person responsible for changing what had previously been simply common perfume bottles to truly beautiful pieces of art.
