The “original” Lalique (René) died in 1945, which is when his son (Marc) took over the R Lalique business. Marc introduced crystal as a substitute for his father’s glass. The French business went from being called R Lalique to M Lalique, to Cristal Lalique.
Lalique Crystal (which Marc Lalique introduced) is sold throughout the world. Some of the Lalique crystal pieces are reproductions of René Lalique’s glass works of art. Lalique vases, perfume bottles, bird, cat & fish figurines are all examples of beautiful Lalique Glass decorative collectibles.
