Most people are aware of Jim Shore’s Heartwood Creek Seasonal collectibles, but did you know that the Heartwood Creek collection also includes twelve monthly angels and Tinker Bells? Each of these beautiful monthly angel and Tinker Bells show the month’s special flower, as well as the month’s birthstone.
Jim Shore monthly
Jim Shore is known for his beautifully crafted artwork, which always includes some type of quilting pattern. Jim was influenced by his mother and grandmother’s beautiful quilts, and has been able to incorporate the designs he grew up with into his folkart crafts.
Each month includes both the angels and Walt Disney Tinker Bells, along with each month’s holiday themed artwork. December has its Christmas items, and Jim’s month of October includes all of his clever Halloween items. Thanksgiving brings harvest time to November, and Spring’s Easter can be included in either his March or April collections.
All of Jim Shore’s figurines first start out as Jim’s drawings and then he sculpts them. The details are then provided to a group of artisans who then produce clay molds. The molds are then cast in polyresin and sent for quality tests to match with the level of detail that is unique and in accordance with Jim’s original art.
