The man behind Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang, Charles M. Schultz, gave us some of the most endearing holiday themed stories. In the case of Halloween, it’s not the usual “left-out” Charlie Brown who actually finds himself on the outskirts of the group, rather it’s Linus, Lucy’s younger blanket-toting brother.
Linus spends Halloween night waiting for the Great Pumpkin to arrive in the pumpkin patch. His ever-adoring Sally (Charlie’s younger sister) accompanies him on his quest to see the Great Pumpkin, much to her eventual dismay. Poor Linus waits and waits for the Great Pumpkin, while all the rest of the Peanuts gang celebrate Halloween.
