Hallmark has been bringing “family movies” to us for over sixty years. These are times when it is no longer “safe” to sit down and watch a movie with your children. It has become more difficult to find “family fare” that is suited to all.

The Hallmark Hall of Fame movies are movies that the Hallmark company has produced which make it possible for you to sit down and watch movies with your children. You don’t have to be worried about seeing (or hearing!) things that simply aren’t appropriate for all family members when you turn on a Hall of Fame movie.
The Hallmark Hall of Fame movies have won many awards over the past sixty years. The reason for this, is that they have great movie themes with great actors. The following actors have graced Hallmark Hall of Fame movies: Bette Davis, John Gielgud, Alec Guiness, Vanessa Redgrave, Jessica Tandy, Joanne Woodward, Glenn Close, and James Woods. Pretty impressive!
The Hallmark Hall of Fame movies don’t simply aim to be entertaining. They also strive to impart some type of knowledge. They show people from all walks of life, getting along. Many of them are award winning movies. If you count just the Emmy Awards, that would be 79 awards. They have won Golden Globes, as well.
